எனினும் 44 ரன்கள் எடுத்திருந்த போது லயான் பந்துவீச்சில் தூக்கி அடித்து கேட்ச் கொடுத்து ரோகித் அவுட் ஆகினார். இவரின் விக்கெட் ரசிகர்களை பெரிதும் அதிர்ச்சி அடைய செய்தது. குறிப்பாக இந்திய அணியின் முன்னாள் ஜாம்பவான் வீரர் சுனில் கவாஸ்கர், "எதற்காக அந்த ஷாட். நீங்கள் சரியாக தான் விளையாடி கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள். பிறகு ஏன் இந்த ஷாட். ஒரு அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த வீரர் இந்தச் சூழலில் அடிக்கும் ஷாட் இது அல்ல" என வர்ணனையில் தெரிவித்தார்.
